A CEFR level-wise list of linking words/connectors for IELTS Writing Tasks with Bangla meanings and English example sentences. Each level includes appropriate connectors useful for IELTS Writing (both Task 1 & Task 2), especially Task 2, with clear Bangla translation and usage:

🔵 CEFR Level A1 – Basic User (Beginner)

but কিন্তু I like tea, but I don’t like coffee.
or অথবা Do you prefer coffee or tea?
because কারণ I stayed home because it was raining.
so তাই It was late, so we left quickly.
also এছাড়াও She is smart. Also, she is kind.
then তারপর We ate dinner, then watched TV.
after পরে After lunch, we went to the park.
before আগে Before sleeping, I brush my teeth.
when যখন When it rains, I stay home.

🟢 CEFR Level A2 – Basic User (Elementary)

as well as পাশাপাশি She speaks Spanish as well as French.
while যতক্ষণ না He listened to music while studying.
because of এর কারণে The flight was delayed because of fog.
so that যাতে I studied hard so that I could pass.
in the end শেষ পর্যন্ত In the end, they won the match.
then এরপর First we ate, then we left.
such as যেমন He eats fruit such as apples and bananas.
next পরবর্তী Next, we visited the museum.
for example উদাহরণস্বরূপ For example, birds can fly.

🟡 CEFR Level B1 – Independent User (Intermediate)

however যদিও She was tired. However, she finished the work.
therefore অতএব He studied well. Therefore, he passed.
in addition অতিরিক্তভাবে In addition, we need more workers.
instead of এর পরিবর্তে Use honey instead of sugar.
as a result ফলস্বরূপ It rained. As a result, we stayed in.
in contrast বিপরীতে In contrast, city life is fast.
even though যদিও Even though he is rich, he is humble.
whereas যেখানে I love tea, whereas she loves coffee.
on the other hand অন্যদিকে She is quiet. On the other hand, her brother is loud.
such as যেমন Wild animals, such as tigers, are dangerous.

🟠 CEFR Level B2 – Independent User (Upper-Intermediate)

moreover উপরন্তু He is brilliant. Moreover, he is helpful.
nonetheless তবুও It was raining. Nonetheless, we went hiking.
consequently ফলস্বরূপ She missed the deadline. Consequently, she failed.
likewise অনুরূপভাবে He enjoys reading. Likewise, his sister is a book lover.
albeit যদিও It was fun, albeit tiring.
with regard to এর পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে With regard to education, reforms are needed.
in comparison তুলনায় In comparison to last year, profits rose.
as opposed to বিপরীতে Tea, as opposed to coffee, is more relaxing.
not only…but also শুধু না… বরং He is not only talented but also hardworking.
nonetheless তথাপি He was tired; nonetheless, he kept running.

🔴 CEFR Level C1 – Proficient User (Advanced)

in the meantime এই ফাঁকে I’ll cook. In the meantime, set the table.
notwithstanding সত্ত্বেও Notwithstanding the pain, he finished the race.
in light of আলোকে In light of recent events, classes were cancelled.
thereby ফলে He trained hard, thereby improving his results.
in essence মূলত In essence, this policy benefits the rich.
to that end সেই উদ্দেশ্যে We want peace. To that end, we negotiated.
for the sake of স্বার্থে He worked late for the sake of success.
conversely বিপরীতভাবে Wealth increases freedom. Conversely, poverty limits it.
all things considered সব বিবেচনায় All things considered, it was a wise decision.
notwithstanding সত্ত্বেও Notwithstanding the difficulties, we completed the project.

🟣 CEFR Level C2 – Proficient User (Mastery)

albeit যদিও He made progress, albeit slowly.
insofar as যতদূর Insofar as I know, he is reliable.
vis-à-vis সম্পর্কিত The law needs revision vis-à-vis privacy.
on condition that শর্তসাপেক্ষে He will help on condition that he is paid.
save for বাদ দিলে Save for a few errors, the essay was perfect.
be that as it may যা-ই হোক না কেন Be that as it may, we must try again.
ipso facto সেই কারণে He was the CEO; ipso facto, he was in charge.
not the least of which যার একটি প্রধান হলো She has many talents, not the least of which is singing.
by the same token একই যুক্তিতে It’s wrong to lie; by the same token, stealing is wrong.
inasmuch as যেহেতু He is to blame inasmuch as he knew the risks.
