Argument-led essay হল IELTS Writing Task-2 এর মধ্যে অন্যতম একটি জনপ্রিয় প্রশ্ন ধরন। এই ধরনের প্রশ্নে পরীক্ষার্থীদের দুটি ভিন্নমত বা পয়েন্টের উপর যুক্তি দিয়ে আলোচনা করতে হয়। পরীক্ষার্থীদের নিরপেক্ষ অবস্থান থেকে উভয় পক্ষে যুক্তি প্রদান করতে হয় এবং শেষে একটি সিদ্ধান্তে আসতে হয়।

Argument-led লিখা কি?

এটি এমন একটি রচনাকে বোঝায় যেখানে কোনো একটি বিষয়ে বিভিন্ন মতামত বা পক্ষের ওপর বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়। IELTS Writing Task-2 তে এই ধরনের প্রশ্নে, একটি বিষয়ের পক্ষে ও বিপক্ষে যুক্তি দেখানো হয় এবং শেষে নিজের মতামত বা সিদ্ধান্ত দেওয়া হয়। মূলত, পরীক্ষার্থীরা বিষয়টির উভয় দিক বিচার করে উত্তর তৈরি করেন।

কিভাবে লিখতে হয়?

Argument-led essay লেখার জন্য নিচের ধাপগুলো অনুসরণ করতে হবে:

১. ভূমিকা (Introduction):

– প্রথমে প্রশ্নটিকে সংক্ষেপে পুনর্লিখন করতে হবে। প্রশ্নে যে দুটি ভিন্নমত দেওয়া হয়েছে, তা পরিচয় করিয়ে দিতে হবে।
– এরপর নিজের মতামত প্রকাশ করতে হবে (যদি প্রয়োজন হয়) অথবা শেষ অংশে নিজের মতামত দেবেন বলে ইঙ্গিত করতে হবে।

উদাহরণ:
“Many people believe that technology has improved our lives, while others think it has caused more harm. This essay will discuss both perspectives before arriving at a conclusion.”

২. মূল অংশ (Body Paragraphs):

Argument-led essay-এ সাধারণত দুটি মূল পয়েন্ট নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। একদিকে প্রশ্নের পক্ষে যুক্তি এবং অন্যদিকে বিপক্ষে যুক্তি তুলে ধরা হয়।

– প্রথম প্যারাগ্রাফে, যে মতামতের পক্ষে আপনি আলোচনা করতে চান, তা ব্যাখ্যা করতে হবে। যুক্তি এবং উদাহরণ ব্যবহার করে পয়েন্টটি শক্তিশালী করতে হবে।

উদাহরণ:
“On one hand, technology has made communication faster and easier. For example, with the advent of smartphones and the internet, people can now connect instantly from different parts of the world, making global business and personal communication highly efficient.”

– দ্বিতীয় প্যারাগ্রাফে, বিপরীত মতামত বা ধারণাটি তুলে ধরুন। যুক্তিসঙ্গত উদাহরণ এবং যুক্তি ব্যবহার করে তা ব্যাখ্যা করুন।

উদাহরণ:
“On the other hand, technology has also brought about certain negative consequences. For instance, the overuse of social media has led to decreased face-to-face interactions and has been linked to mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.”

৩. উপসংহার (Conclusion):

– উপসংহারে সংক্ষেপে উভয় পক্ষে দেওয়া যুক্তিগুলি উল্লেখ করতে হবে।
– নিজের মতামত (যদি পূর্বে না দেওয়া হয়) এখানে স্পষ্টভাবে প্রদান করতে হবে।
– যুক্তি দিয়ে বোঝাতে হবে কেন আপনি আপনার মতামতকে সঠিক মনে করছেন।

উদাহরণ:
“In conclusion, while technology has undeniably improved communication and connectivity, it has also introduced several challenges. On balance, I believe that the benefits of technology far outweigh the drawbacks, especially when used responsibly.”

গুরুত্বপূর্ণ টিপস:

1. Balanced discussion:
উভয় পক্ষে যুক্তি তুলে ধরতে হবে। একটি পক্ষকেই প্রাধান্য দেওয়া ঠিক নয়।

2. Clear structure:
প্রতিটি পয়েন্ট পরিষ্কারভাবে আলাদা প্যারাগ্রাফে রাখতে হবে। প্যারাগ্রাফগুলোতে সুসংহত এবং সংযোগকারী বাক্য ব্যবহার করা উচিত।

3. Relevant examples:
যতটুকু সম্ভব বাস্তব উদাহরণ দিয়ে আপনার পয়েন্টগুলোকে সমর্থন করা উচিত। উদাহরণ আপনার উত্তরকে শক্তিশালী করবে।

4. Accurate language use:
ব্যাকরণ এবং বাক্য গঠন অবশ্যই সঠিক হতে হবে। বিভিন্ন ধরনের বাক্য গঠন (simple, compound, complex) ব্যবহার করে রচনাটি আকর্ষণীয় এবং মানসম্পন্ন করে তুলুন।

Some people believe that students should focus solely on academic subjects, while others argue that extracurricular activities are equally important. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Answer (Band 7 Sample):

বাক্য গঠন বৈচিত্র্যময়, এবং সাধারণত কোনো গুরুতর ব্যাকরণগত ভুল নেই। compound এবং complex বাক্য ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে, যা পরীক্ষার্থীর ব্যাকরণিক দক্ষতার প্রমাণ দেয়।

এই কারণগুলির ভিত্তিতে, এই উত্তরগুলো Band 7 এর জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় মানদণ্ড পূরণ করে।

উপসংহার:

Argument-led essay লিখতে হলে প্রশ্নের উভয় দিক নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে হবে এবং শেষে একটি সংক্ষিপ্ত ও যুক্তিসম্মত উপসংহার দিতে হবে। IELTS Writing Task-2 তে এই ধরনের প্রশ্নে ভালো নম্বর পেতে হলে পরিষ্কার, যৌক্তিক এবং সুসংগঠিত উত্তর দেওয়া অত্যন্ত জরুরি।
